How to make light up spinner card.

Hi, crafty friends!
Today I make light up spinner card.

If you wind the center part before putting it in the envelope, it starts spinning when the recipient opens the card.

This card is based on this card of @nicorin173.

She is a very talented lady and I respect her very much!

The stamps and dies I used are here.
"Heffy doodle Unbearable without you"
"Heffy doodle Unbearable without you dies"

This stamp are the products of "Heffy doodle" launched by Lesley Oman of Chibitronics' DT fellow.
New products will be released on November 1, so please look forward to it.

And I used these stamp and die.
"Heffy doodle Interactively Yours"
"Mama elephant all prettied up creative cuts"

What you need to make a light up card is like this.
"Chibitronics Red, Yellow, and Blue LED Sticker Pack"
"3V coin cell battery"(CR2016)
"5mm wide Copper tape"
"Conductive thread"

I will make the parts referring to the picture below.

  1. Die cut a yellow cardstock with a scalloped circle die.
  2. Die cut a white cardstock with scalloped rectangular and circle dies. (for cover panel)
  3. Die cut a white cardstock with scalloped rectangular and circle dies. (for circuit card base)
  4. Stamp the bear and coloring with copics. And die cut with a heart die.
  5. Stamp the bear on the white cardstock. (for circuit)
  6. Pull tab parts (two 0.5 x 2 inch)
  7. Switch parts (two 0.5 x 0.5 inch)
  8. Vellum paper for adhering from the back of the door and window.
Stamp the sentiment and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Stick five small stamps to the acrylic block.

Stamp it randomly on the cover panel using distress oxide wild honey.

Stamp one more sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Mark the center of the heart.

Coloring with copics. (E33, E35, E29, E51)

Adhere vellum paper on the back of the bear parts.

Mark and cut out the 1/32 x 1 inch slit.

Mark the position of the battery and draw the circuit with a pencil.

Adhere the copper tape on the drawing path and adhere the battery with plus side up.

Mark the position of the Chibitronics.

Adhere the copper tape on the drawing path and adhere the red Chibitronics LED sticker on the mark.

Sew the center of the electrode of Chibitronics with conductive thread.

Sew the threads from the front to the back and tie them.

Adhere the copper tape on the tie.

Adhere the conductive thread with the scotch tape along the center line.

When Chibitronics is not on the center line.
Draw a circuit from the position of the Chibitronics to the center line with a pencil and adhere the copper tape on the drawing path.
Sew over the copper tape on the center line with a conductive thread.

Sew the conductive thread on the center line of the copper tape on the mount side.

Adhere scotch tape on the conductive thread on the center line.

Fold square parts in half.

Insert the half-folded parts into the slit and adhere the copper tape around the switch part.

Make cross-shaped parts like this.

Insert the switch parts into the slit.

Adhere the pull tab parts on the switch parts.
And adhere the colored bear parts on the center part.

The back side is like this.

Adhere a foam tape around the circuit card base.

Adhere the cover panel to the card base.
And adhere the sentiment part on the cover panel.

Adhere the cover panel to the yellow card base.

The LED glows when you pull the pull tab.

The inside is like this.

I finished it!
